During the last week before school started, we took the boys to Medieval Times. We had a blast! It is a dinner show, where you root for the knight in your section (we were the red knights). The boys loved that they served dinner, but everyone had to eat without silverware! The boys had both studied this time in history in 3rd grade, and were thrilled that Lowell and I finally took them to see the show. Their fave part was the jousting! We have had sword fights, and children dressed as knights ever since our return. It was a wonderful evening together. Kendra enjoyed being the only grandchild at Grandma and Grandpa's house for the evening.

After meeting everyone's teacher... we had a surprise visit from Great Aunt Jacinta on the Saturday before school started. She helped me out by taking Kendra's hair out, and getting us a hair appt. at the salon. (Somehow I sprained my wrist, and it was hurting!) Kendra loved the curled extensions that we had put in! Great Aunt Jacinta brought her Aunt Emelda to visit with us too. It was great to meet some of our unknown extended family. We enjoyed dinner and the movie Walle.

Then it was back to the real world, as school has begun. Jerome is in 5th grade at his new private school, Kevin is in 4th grade with Grandma as his teacher, and Kendra is in 2nd grade. I am teaching 3rd grade this year. What a bunch we make! And the good news is, we lived through the week!

This week Grandma had a birthday! The kids deceided on a bunch of fresh cut flowers for her gift. We enjoyed going out to dinner to celebrate with her, and then joined her for brownies at her house. It was lovely.

Kaitlyn our cousin came over today for a play date. We enjoyed play dough, putting on a dress up show, and Kendra the hairdresser. It was a fun time for all!
