MINNIE MOUSE, CAPTAIN HOOK

We had a great weekend. My grandma came up and my mom and I took her to Disney. She hadn't been for about 10 years. We had a great time, and the kids enjoyed day care at the YMCA. I was able to get some Christmas shopping done. Here is a picture of our costumes... we don't celebrate Halloween, but we LOVE costumes. This year the boys enjoyed being Captain Hook, and Kendra had a blast being Minnie Mouse.
I am looking forward to next week... Thanksgiving and all. Typically I do all of the house decorations, write my Christmas cards, and wrap all of the gifts during this time. Then in December, I sit back and relax as others are rushing around. I just hate shopping when the stores are crowded and the prices are high. I do my "black Friday" shopping at home on the internet!

Ripstik and Horse Races

We had a great November weekend. Jerome had saved $39 (half) the cost of a Ripstik. It took him 4 months, and he finally had enough to purchase his dream toy, a Ripstik. Here is a video of him learning to ride it. It is like a skateboard, but only has 2 wheels and can rotate in the center.... He loves it, and to my surprise, is really pretty good at it too!

As we went to purchase Jerome's Ripstik, we found a 90% off sale at Target! Kendra was in love with a "toddler" costume of a horse. I purchased two $39.99 horse costumes for the price of $3.99 each! (I decided that for $4 we could have two so Kevin could play with her and then cousin Kaitlyn could have a horse when she visits for family dinners!) She LOVED it! She wore it around the store, and wouldn't take it off when we stopped in at another Target!! It was great! Here is a pic of her and Kevin with their horses!
